Terms of Use

Welcome to Gleeman’s Table (“Platform,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms of Use.
1. Eligibility
You must be legally able to use the Platform. If you use the Platform for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Pre-Release Status
The Platform is pre-release and in active development. Features, functionality, pricing, availability, stored data, saved progress, balances, virtual goods, chat history, and access may change, reset, disappear, or be terminated at any time, with or without notice. The Platform may not be available tomorrow. Use is at your own risk.
3. Platform Use
Gleeman’s Table is a controlled virtual tabletop platform. We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time.
4. Content Rules
Gameplay systems, mechanics, items, rules, and related platform content are platform-controlled. Users may not upload, import, inject, or submit gameplay content, rulesets, homebrew systems, JSON data, or similar external game content, except as permitted under Section 16 (Third-Party Content Imports). The only permitted user upload is a static image used as a map, subject to platform validation and restrictions.
4a. User Chat Content
The Platform includes real-time chat and messaging features used during gameplay sessions. We do not monitor, pre-screen, or control what users type into these features. Each user is solely responsible for their own messages and any content they communicate through the Platform. We are not liable for user-submitted chat content. If you encounter content from another user that violates these Terms, please contact us at jason@simpleopsystems.com.
4b. Mature Content & Profanity Filter
The Platform includes an optional profanity filter that is enabled by default. Users may disable it by self-attesting that they are 18 years of age or older within account settings. We rely entirely on this self-attestation — we have no technical means to independently verify a user’s age. Parents and guardians of minor users are strongly encouraged to review account settings and supervise their child’s use of the Platform. We are not responsible for language or content encountered after a user voluntarily disables the filter, and we make no representation that AI-generated or user-submitted content is appropriate for any particular audience.
4c. Parental Guidance
Gleeman’s Table is a fantasy tabletop role-playing game platform. Session content may include fantasy combat, magic, dark themes, and player-driven narrative that may not be suitable for young children. We do not moderate in-session content in real time. Parents and guardians are responsible for determining whether the Platform is appropriate for minors in their care and for supervising their use accordingly.
5. Map Uploads
Permitted map uploads are limited to static image files only (PNG, JPEG, WebP). By uploading a map image, you represent you have rights to use it and grant us a limited license to store, display, and use it within the Platform for session functionality.
6. Accounts
You are responsible for activity under your account and for maintaining the security of your credentials.
7. Virtual Currency and Virtual Goods
Favor, gold, items, and other virtual goods are digital platform features only. They have no real-world value, are not redeemable for cash, are non-transferable unless explicitly allowed in-platform, and may be modified, removed, reset, or discontinued at any time.
8. Billing
Subscriptions, Favor, and other paid features are governed by the Billing & Refund Policy. During pre-release, features and pricing may change at any time.
9. Feedback
Feedback, suggestions, and recommendations are appreciated. You agree that we may use them without restriction or obligation to compensate you.
10. No Warranty
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of data, saved progress, virtual goods, balances, access, revenue, business interruption, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to the Platform.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access at any time, for any reason, with or without notice.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the Platform means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
15. AI-Generated Content
The Platform includes automated and artificial-intelligence features — including “Marlo,” an AI Game Master — that generate or help generate text, narrative, dialogue, names, non-player characters, items, encounters, images, and other content (“AI-Generated Content”). AI-Generated Content is produced by automated systems rather than a human author, and is identified within the Platform where presented (for example, in-session messages attributed to “Marlo (AI GM)”).
AI-Generated Content is provided “as is” and for entertainment purposes only. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, unexpected, or unsuitable, and it does not constitute professional, legal, medical, financial, or other advice. You should not rely on it as a statement of fact. We do not warrant the accuracy, quality, originality, or fitness of AI-Generated Content for any purpose.
Because AI-Generated Content is produced algorithmically, similar or identical output may be generated for other users, and such content may not be unique to you. We make no representation that AI-Generated Content is original, eligible for intellectual-property protection, or free of third-party rights, and we disclaim liability for any resemblance it may bear to existing works. Any rights we may hold in content surfaced through the Platform remain subject to Section 10 (No Warranty) and Section 11 (Limitation of Liability).
The Platform combines System Reference Document (SRD) material used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, original content created by Simple Op Systems LLC, and AI-Generated Content. A description of these sources and the required attributions is available on the Credits & Attributions page. Prompts and other inputs you provide to AI features may be processed to operate and improve those features, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may add, modify, limit, or remove AI features at any time.
16. Third-Party Content Imports
The Platform provides a character import feature that accepts user-provided JSON data from third-party tools. Gleeman’s Table is not affiliated with or endorsed by any third-party platform (including D&D Beyond or Roll20). Imported data is user-provided and used solely within the user’s session; we do not claim ownership of, sell, or redistribute third-party proprietary content. Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have the right to use any data they import.
